Enlarging a Chart
An enlarged chart is a normal chart page.
- Some charts initially appear as enlarged charts and others appear as preview charts. When you click on a preview chart, an enlarged chart appears. See Viewing Preview Charts.
- To find out more information about a chart value, hover over a member with your mouse cursor. The member's labels appear in a popup along with its value. If the member represents a group, the popup will inform you that you can click it to drill down into the group.
- "Drilling down" into a group creates a new chart or report showing only the members of the group. Groups are represented in two ways in charts:
- By shaded rectangles in the legend area. To drill down into a group, click on a shaded rectangle. (The legend area appears at the bottom of enlarged charts. It shows a colored rectangle for each dimension member.)
- By your mouse cursor taking the form of a hand, when hovering over a dimension member. The hand cursor indicates that the member represents a group. To drill into a group, click directly on a dimension member.
Note: If the data point design limit has been exceeded for a chart, you will not be able to drill down into a group.
- To drill back up, use your browser's Back button.
- To rearrange the dimensions of an enlarged chart, do one of the following:
- If View preview charts appears on the toolbar ., you can click it and rearrange the dimensions using drag and drop.
- Use the Rearrange report dialog (Rearrange report dialog (Charts), Register dialog (Charts)) to arrange dimensions without dragging and dropping. Click Chart options > Rearrange report, or select View menu > Chart options > Rearrange report.
Note: Animated charts have limited functionality. They do not display popup windows, tooltips, symbols, or clickable areas. You cannot drill down in an animated chart.
