Viewing Definitions

Report Definitions:

A report definition is a detailed description of various aspects of a report and its data source.

A. Before selecting a specific report, you can view its definition to ensure you are selecting the appropriate one.

To open the Report definition dialog, do one of the following - on the Public reports or My reports tab:

  1. Click the Report definition button in the toolbar or select View menu > Report definition.

  2. To view the report definition for a specific report, select it from the Report drop-down list.
  3. Click OK. The detailed report definition is displayed.

B. After selecting a specific report, you can view its report definition by:

Report Notes:

Report notes are not as detailed as a report definition. You can view report notes by selecting the Click to view notes icon displayed beside the report title.
