A selection set is a saved definition of any dimension. The definition includes the selections on the dimension as well as any totals, percentages, custom groups or calculated members that have been defined. You can create a selection set on the dimension definition page.
Dimension selection sets are simply saved definitions. They need to be applied on the dimension definition page after opening a report that contains the dimension to which they pertain.
The My selection sets tab manages the selection sets that have been created and will be displayed only if at least one selection set has been saved.
This tab can be used to delete or rename selection sets - but not to open a selection set or change its settings. Selection sets are not saved with a report.
