Selection methods
You can use any of the following selection buttons and check boxes to choose dimension members.
Note: In all cases -
Check mark = Select
X = Clear
Select/Clear single members |
Use the check boxes beside dimension members to select all the members that you want to appear in the dimension. |
|
Select/Clear members by level |
Use the "Select/Clear level x" buttons, located at the top left of the selection area, to select all the members that are on the same level. (For example, you could select the third level of every group.) Buttons affect the level that is directly beneath them. Hovering over these buttons highlights the affected level. |
|
Select/Clear all members |
Use the "Select/Clear all members" buttons to select or clear all the dimension members at once. Hovering over these buttons highlights the entire member selection area to indicate that all members will be selected or cleared. |
|
Select/Clear lowest level |
Use the "Select/Clear lowest level" buttons to select all the lowest level members at once. Lowest level members are members that do not have any children. That is, they do not define groups. Lowest level members may appear at many different levels and belong to various groups, but they are always at the lowest level of whatever group they are a member of. |
|
Select/Clear range of members |
Use the "Select/Clear range" buttons to select or clear a range of adjacent members. (The "Select/clear range" buttons only appear if there is more than one dimension member.) To select a range: Click the "Select range of members" check mark button, choose a starting member, and then choose an ending member. Both members and all the members in between them will be selected. To clear a range: Click the "Clear range of members" button, choose a member, and then choose another member. Both members and all the members in between them will be unselected. As soon as you have finished selecting or clearing a range, the selection method reverts to Single member. |
|
Select/Clear group and all members below it in hierarchy |
Use the "Select /Clear group and all members below it in hierarchy" buttons, located after the name of a group, to select entire groups of members. Note: Selecting the checkmark for only the top level of a group, such as an "All" member, does not also select the group members. To include all the group's members in a report, as well as the top-level or "All" member, you must select the entire group. |
Note: You can use the Sort by label and the Show in reverse order checkboxes to change the order in which selected members will appear in the report.
